Most Explideos are using the "man hand" with blue magic marker, which draws or writes everything the narrator is saying. They are proven to be effective in early development, much more captivating than a powerpoint presentation and since the software to make these is WYSIWYG, it is easier to make a great Explideo than it is to make a crappy video. I have always thought most folks posting videos on the web should not be in possession of a camera or any recording device. These camera-toting, spastic, shaky-people are craping up our internet with useless video that just takes up most of the space and bandwidth at google....I digress.
So here is my HUGE tip of the day and possibly the best tip of the week so far, and here it is.......
Explideos are FREE to make at PowToon.com
Free or Trial accounts on powtoon are limited to 5 minute long videos, carry an non-removable powtoon logo in bottom left of player console.
Single videos can be licensed for $8.00 each, or get a monthly membership for around $50 bucks but check for deals as I saw a special intro offer for less somewhere.
These Explideo have taken some online marketing campaigns off the charts, particularly in top shelf porn products and services. Many of the successful Explideo based campaigns have run 3 and 4 times longer than a normal banner or flash treatment and the breaking point is now shot to the moon with $74.99 price range campaigns going on for 6 months or more and going way over $50 million in sales. Again this is exotica, so take it with a grain of cyanide....
